A great day with the team. We just missed out on a podium (4th) but we raced with panache and I’ll take that any day of the week.
Chapeau Gents!

“Team Sixcycle-RK&O has enjoyed a successful start to the 2013 Bethel Spring Series, bringing a strong roster of riders to each of the first three races in the series. Racing aggressively the team has put three different riders on the podium in each of the first three races – Ben Fackler taking third in a break in the Ronde de Bethel, Roger Parmelee taking second in the Ris Van Bethel and this weekend Matthew Vandivort taking a solo win in Tour de Kirche. This team effort has put Matthew Vandivort in the leader’s jersey and has put Team Sixcycle-RK&O in the lead of the team competition series.”
Bike racing is a team effort. Way too many people don’t get that. Read this week’s Team Sixcyle-RK&O race report to understand why.
Yes - massive kudos to Ben Fackler, Roger Parmelee and Matthew Vandivort for the podium results.
But the biggest kudos go to the entire Team Sixcycle roster who have contributed to each race result: Charlie Bird, Johnny Buenaventura, Daniel Cleiman, Ashley Doane, Oliver Davis, Ben Fackler, , Bruce Fecheyr-Lippens, Bryan Fried, Ryan McGarrity, Tom Mikolinski, Corey Morenz, Michael Nelson, Roger Parmelee, Matthew Richards, Deverell “Rsun” Smith, Andrew Walsh, & Matthew Vandivort.
Bike racing is a team sport.
Dave Jordan Racing @ CRCA Race #1 - CPK, NYC 03.02.13
First race of the season and everyone’s excited to be racing again. There’s jitters and anticipation and then BOOM, IT’S ON. Kudos to Dave Jordan Racing’s Alan Buday for placing 6th in the CRCA A Field!
According to Nigel, “In the B Field and Women’s Field Dave Jordan Racers raced hard and well and mixed it up for the field sprint. Placing went 7 deep, some DJR riders in the Top10, others just outside.”
And shout outs to our @TeamSixcycle friends and Matt Vandivort who placed 2nd in the CRCA A Field!
We love seeing our NYC CRCA teams delivering the results in 2013!!! Looks like it’s gonna be a great season! Keep it going Ladies and Gents!!!

Grimpeur Bros. Specialty Coffee (GrimpeurBros.com) is excited to announce it’s sponsorship of NYC-based Team Sixcycle-RK&O for the 2013 road racing season.
Team Sixcycle-RK&O (TeamSixcycle.com, Facebook.com/TeamSixcycle, @TeamSixcycle on tumblr, Instagram & Twitter) is a team of New York City based cyclists that compete throughout the east coast across a variety of terrain and race formats. The team is also actively involved in promoting and hosting races around New York via the Century Road Club Association (CRCA).
Team Sixcycle-RK&O is the second team Grimpeur Bros. Specialty Coffee has sponsored and our second road racing team we are sponsoring for the 2013 road racing season. We choose to sponsor Team Sixcycle-RK&O because not only are they very good road racing team, Team Sixcycle-RK&O are also incredibly media and social media savvy like their racing brethren at Team Yacht Club who’ve set an incredibly high bar.
Team Sixcycle-RK&O will deliver more value and more #GNAR than an average road team sponsorship. We’re incredibly excited to sponsor our first NYC-based team and the relationship is already bearing some interesting fruit. STAY TUNED!

Ride your bike. Drink great coffee.
